How do you win a golf tournament & keep score on the course?

To win a golf tournament you need to have the lowest score. To get the lowest score you need to get the ball into each hole with a lowest amount of stokes. Another rule is that each hole has a number that represents a "par", the par number says how many stroke it will take a golfer to finish that hole. Say you are at the 4th par (pole), and it takes you 5 strokes to get it into the 4th par, then that means that your score is 1 over. Say you are at the 4th par and it takes you 3 strokes to get the ball in, then your score is 1 under.

How do you choose your golf clubs and golf balls?

There are three different types of golf clubs, of those are irons, woods, and a putter and they each come with a number on the club representing the loft. The lower the number on your club means the lower the loft and larger your club is. This means that when you're playing golf your club will result in how far the distance your swing is going with less accuracy. Meaning, the lower your loft number is the more harder it is to swing a ball towards your desired path.

Iron goft clubs have the loft number of: 3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and PW
Wood golf clubs have the loft number of: 1,3,5
and a putter

Most Pro shops sell second hand golf clubs, so if you're not sure if you're going to play golf for a long period of time, then it is highly recommanded that you get a second hand golf club. It is usually cheaper and better. You can also check out online auction's or ask a friend or a family member if they have an extra golf club lying around that they're not using.

Their are two main golf balls, they are spin and distance balls. Spin balls spin more and make it easier to draw or fade and they hold the green. Spin balls also feel softer and are less expensive, they just don't travel as far as the distance balls because they have a liquid in the highest spin ball. Distance balls on the other side don't spin as much because they have a solid core in the ball. Because of the solid core in the middle of the distance ball this ball can travel longer distances and is very durable. If a ball more durable it means that it will spin less and you have less control for stopping the ball.
